Obituary for William S. Leslie

William S. Leslie, 87, died Friday, January 4, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts and raised in Amesbury. He was the son of the late William and Helen (Towne) Leslie and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Bill graduated from Amesbury High School and the University of New Hampshire where he meet his wife Joanne. He also attended the BC School of Law evening program. He worked as a Stock Broker and developed other business
ventures in the financial markets in Boston.

Bill raised his family in Wenham where he was involved with youth sports, including Little League Baseball and Youth Football. He was a lifetime member and past Commodore at the Jubilee Yacht Club in Beverly, as well as past President and actively involved with the Sandy Point Sailing Association. Bill was an avid follower of UNH sports especially the Wildcats hockey team. He loved to travel with his family especially sailing around Maine and the Caribbean. He also enjoyed gardening and home renovations.

Bill leaves behind his wife of 60 years Joanne, his son Kirk Leslie and his wife Annabelle, of Whistler, BC., his daughter Kimberly Ford and her husband Richard of Portsmouth, RI., and his three grandchildren, US Marine LCpl Kevin Leslie, and Patrick and Annabel Ford, who were the loves of his life. He is now resting in peace with his son US Navy Lt Kevin Leslie who was lost in 1989.

The family will be having a celebration of Bill’s life at a later date. Arrangements by the Campbell's Funeral Home 525 Cabot St, Beverly, Ma 01915.
