ROWLEY - William R. Green, 65, of Rowley, formerly of Beverly, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was the beloved husband of Nancy E. (Boyd) Green. Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Walter P. and Marjorie (Bliss) Green. Mr. Green had been employed for thirty four years as a grocery clerk and as an evening grocery manager for Shaw’s Supermarkets in both their Beverly and Gloucester locations.

William was a lifelong resident of Beverly and truly enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. He looked forward to traveling with his family every summer to Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. Bill was very enthusiastic about his Boston sports teams, especially the Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins. In addition to his wife, with whom he shared twenty-seven years of marriage, he is survived by his son, Ryan Green of Rowley and his brother, Walter P. Green Jr. of Danvers, his mother in law Phyllis Boyd, a nephew Sean Green and a niece Kerry Green.
