Obituary for Oveada C. Lewis

Beverly – Oveada C. (Wilson) Lewis 68, wife of the late Richard E. Lewis, died Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the Beverly Hospital.
Born in Grand Prairie, TX, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Evelyn (Hall) Wilson. She was raised in Beverly and received her education in the Beverly school system.
Mrs. Lewis had been employed for many years as a unit assistant at many area nursing homes on the North Shore until the time of her retirement.
A longtime resident of Beverly, she was a member of the American Legion Spear Post in Beverly. She was a loving mother grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving her are two daughters, Lisa M. Capers and her husband, Fabian of Bradenton, FL and Melinda A. Campbell of Newburyport, a son, Timothy C. Lewis of Edgerton, OH, a step-son, Richard Lewis Jr., seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, a sister, Evelyn Cabral of Beverly, a brother, Charlie Wilson of Exeter, NH and nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held graveside, at the North Beverly Cemetery, 685 Cabot Street, Beverly, Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly. Online condolences at
