Obituary for Mary P. Tracchia

Mary P. Tracchia, 85, of Beverly, passed away very peacefully surrounded by love on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

Born in Rockport, she was the only child of Joseph and Rita (DeCoste) Maloof. She was a graduate of Beverly High School and worked as a childcare transportation driver for over 30 years.

Mary loved participating in various activities while living at Garden City Towers and later at Blueberry Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Corneau and her husband Al of Bradford, two sons, Edward D. O’Brien and his wife Lisa of Marshfield, and Joseph O’Brien and his partner Pamela Burns of Amesbury; six grandchildren, Allison, Dennis, Nicholas, Danielle, Deirdre and Taylor; seven great-grandchildren; her longtime companion, Sam Cokerden and her dear friend of 60 years, Linda Brennan. She was also the grandmother of the late Tyler.

Mary’s family wishes to thank the staff at Blueberry Hill for the care, kindness and compassion they demonstrated during her stay there.

Visiting hours are on Sunday at the Campbell Funeral Home 525 Cabot Street, Beverly from 1 to 4 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. As requested by the family funeral and burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s name may be made to the Blueberry Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center Activities Fund, 75 Brimbal Ave., Beverly MA 01915.
