Obituary for Mary Ann DiVasta

Beverly – Mary A. (Conti) DiVasta 85, beloved wife of Andrew J. DiVasta, died Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Beverly Hospital.
Born and raised in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late John and Marietta “Mary” (Marzilli) Conti. She received her education in the Beverly school system and graduated from Beverly High School.
A lifelong resident of Beverly, Mrs. DiVasta dedicated her life to her husband and raising her family. She was a member of the Beverly Senior Citizens, the Peabody Golden Ages and the Portuguese American Club in Peabody. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband with whom she shared sixty years of marriage, she is survived by a daughter, Joanne Carbone and her husband, Joseph of Peabody, a son, Ralph DiVasta and his wife, Kathryn of Peabody, five grandchildren, Nicole, Peter, Joseph, Sarah and Cody and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Lucy Barter and Frank Conti.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, Monday, October 23, 2017 at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beverly. Information, directions, condolences at
