Obituary for Manilla Clery Piverger

Manilla Clery Piverger passed away of natural causes on July 28th, 2018 at 12:49pm. She was 94 years old living here in Beverly, Massachusetts with her youngest son Josue Piverger. During her final week of life, she was visited by most of children, grandchildren, and all 6 of her great grandchildren. In her last moments, she slipped away peacefully in the hands of her oldest child Marie and oldest grandchild Max.

She grew up in Aquin, Haiti. When she moved to Port au Prince she met the love of her life at his aunt’s house. She was married to her husband Jean Baptiste Clery Piverger on May 10, 1955 where they spent almost 59 years of marriage together before he passed away in February of 2014. She leaves behind 5 children, 19 grand-children and 6 great grand-children.

Everyone knew Manilla by one beautiful word: “Maman” (pronounced MUH-MUH) which is mom in French. If you ever met her, you would know that God gave her an extra dose of love when He created her. Within 5 minutes of meeting her you would know she loves God, she loves her family, she loves to sing, she loves people and she loves to talk. She will be greatly missed.
