Obituary for Evelyn LeBel

BEVERLY - Evelyn (Jastremski) LeBel, 87, of Beverly, passed away Thursday evening, March 8, 2018 at the Ledgewood Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Beverly. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond R. LeBel. Born in Salem, daughter of the late Steven and Mary A. (Foucht) Jastremski. She was a graduate of Salem High School.

Evelyn was the matriarch of her family and dedicated her whole life to her children and grandchildren. She truly loved spending quality time and vacationing with her family. She took pride in her children and was compassionate and giving. She always put her family first.

Surviving her are two daughters, Renee Y. Johnson and her husband Richard of Beverly and Stacey A. Pappacostas and her husband Peter of Peabody; two sons, Brian R. LeBel of Beverly and Dana J. LeBel and his wife Alyson of Salem, NH and six grandchildren, Nina, Leanna, Andrea, Anthony, Derek and David. She was also the sister of the late Irene Ingemi, Eleanor Squillace, Lydia Cozzi and Stephen L. Jastremski, Jr.

Her Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch Street, Beverly on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn’s memory may be donated to Care Dimensions, c/o The Kaplan Family Hospice House, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
