Obituary for Elaine L. Heitz

Elaine L. (Tapley) Heitz, 89, passed away on February 22, 2019 at Masconomet Healthcare in Topsfield. She was wife of the late Leonard L. Heitz, III. Elaine was born, raised and educated in Medford, MA. She was the daughter of the late Alfred C. and Lois (Kane) Tapley Elaine and Leonard made their home in Hamilton for many years then after retirement moved to Rochester, NH. Elaine enjoyed many summers in Rockport, Maine spending time with her family. Elaine was a devoted christian; when she was not involved in church activities, she had many other interests such as knitting, cooking, shopping and visiting lighthouses. Surviving her are three sons, Peter Heitz and his wife Linda of Hamilton, Kenneth Heitz and his wife Lisa of Beverly, Eric Heitz and his companion Kimberley Hincman of Rowley; a daughter Alison Standley and her husband David of Wenham; a sister Marie Haynes of Illinois, eleven grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Joel, Alissa, Lauren, Tracey, Megan, Brian, Shane, Brandon and Devan. Elaine also had eight great grandchildren, Carissa, Jeffrey, Jazmine, Jack, Mason, Jacob, Sutton and Dylan. She was predeceased by her grandson Michael and two of her sisters, Marjorie Page and Janet Jones. Her funeral service will be held Friday, March 1, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in Hamilton Cemetery. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home 525 Cabot St, Beverly. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Michael K.
