Obituary for Edgar W. Wallace

BEVERLY – Edgar “Ed” W. Wallace, 85, beloved husband of the late Arlene D. (Brunette) Wallace with whom he had shared fifty seven years of marriage, passed away on March 31, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by his family.
Born in Ipswich, he was the son of the late Frank and Evon (Wheeler) Wallace. He was raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School class of 1950.
An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Air Force.
Mr. Wallace had been employed for thirty seven years as a technician for RCA and the General Electric Company, until the time of his retirement.
A former Deacon at the Second Congregational Church in Beverly, he was also a twenty-year member of the Masons, the Shriner’s, the Aleppo Temple in Wilmington, and the Arab Patrol. Ed enjoyed woodworking and visiting his camp in Jefferson, Maine which he designed and constructed in 1983.
Surviving him are two daughters, Deborah Wallace of Lanesville and Stephanie Levy and her husband, Neal of Beverly, a son, Scott Wallace of Diamond Head, Mississippi; and six grandchildren: Matthew and Brian Clarizia, Alison Levy and her fiancé, Nicholas Thompson, Tyler Levy and his wife, Monica, Ian and Mason Wallace; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Gwendolyn Fairchild, Jack Wallace and Frank S. Wallace.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Friday, April 6, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
