Obituary for Chris Emmanuel Aloes

Chris Emmanuel Aloes, 60, of Beverly, died peacefully on May 4th, 2018 in Boston. Born in Norwood, MA, he was the son of Paul Aloes and his wife, Audrey of Swampscott, and the late Diamond (Condos) Aloes.

Chris was the type of person who just “knew things” and could hold his own on just about any subject. He was a mechanical whiz, and could fix anything and everything. He loved working on cars, and helping his family and friends with their cars and home improvement projects. He was an avid animal lover, and dogs in particular played a big part in his life. Over his life, he resided primarily in Beverly, Lynn, New Hampshire, and Florida and spent his last five years in Beverly. Chris met the love of his life, Susan, in high school and reconnected with her several years ago. Above all, Chris loved being around his family and was fiercely devoted to them.

Surviving him is his wife, Susan Aloes of Beverly; his daughter, Amanda E. Eaton and husband Leonidas of Seabrook, NH; his three step-sons, Kyle Putnam of Beverly, Jarrett Putnam and his wife Liz of Wenham and Justin Putnam of Beverly; his step-daughter, Kristina Putnam of Danvers; his two brothers, Charles (Chuck) Aloes and wife Elaine of Solon, ME and William “Lucky” Aloes and his husband Daniel Wansor of Anchorage, Alaska; his step-brother, Michael Flynn of Scotland; his four grandchildren, Chris, Paul, Savannah and Angel; one step-grandson, Leonidas; two nephews, Charles (Chucky) Aloes Jr. and Nicholas Aloes; one niece, Michelle Murray; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was also pre-deceased by his step-sister, Julie Flynn.

The family thanks all the wonderful staff at Mass General Hospital for their competent and loving care of Chris.

Chris’s memorial service will be held privately. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly. Donations in his memory can be made to Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave, Salem, MA 01970. Information, condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com.
