Obituary for Tyler Gothie
Tyler Jordan Bromley Gothie, 20, beloved son of Michael T. and Tracy V. (Bromley) Gothie, passed away at the South Shore Medical Center on Sunday, August 19.
Tyler was born in Yokosuka, Japan, and grew up in Manchester by-the-Sea. He was a graduate of Manchester-Essex High School, class of 2010. In school he was a member of the Debate Team, played basketball and was on the Golf Team. He also worked closely with the McDowell Mission group in West Virginia. Tyler was currently entering his junior year at UMASS Lowell as an English Major. In college, Tyler played intramural basketball and worked in the Audio Visual Center. Tyler had a deep passion for life. He enjoyed music, basketball, golf, and more than anything loved being with his girlfriend Marisa & his family. He was a dedicated friend to all that entered his life and a most compassionate man. He will truly be missed.
In addition to his parents, Tyler is survived by his girlfriend Marisa Lewiecki of Essex; two sisters: Chelsea Vaughn Gothie of Manchester and Chloe Vaughn Gothie of Manchester; his maternal grandparents: Bruce and Sherry Bromley of Longmeadow; maternal great grandparents: Frank and Eddi DeLuca of CT; paternal grandparents: Michael and Carroll Gothie of Groton, CT and paternal great grandmother: Ellen Bye of FL; five aunts and uncles: Shawn Bromley of Millis, Lynn Bromley of Key West, FL, Tina Gray and her husband John of Columbus, OH, Patrick Gothie of Groton, CT and Kari Bleakley and her husband Andrew of CA; seven cousins Samantha, Owen, and Carly Hilton, Abigail and William Gray, and Jackson and Hayden Gothie; his beloved dog Mako, and many friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Parish, 62 School Street,
